This Friday...UPDATE...ZooLights

Sorry folks, I was unaware that most of the church building was being used for the reception and set-up of the Salo/Wilson wedding. So... why don't you meet us at ZooLights at 7:30 instead. We will see how much cold we can stand while we drink Hot Chocolate and meander through the lights. This has nothing to do with the post, but...I LOVE YOU ALL!

Friday UPDATE

If the weather report is correct, and there is a severe storm on friday afternoon, then we will cancel the c-dots and instead encourage all of the youth to bundle up and get out and serve our communities if the opportunity arises, as it did for many youth last friday! The Will to Live

Last night, one of the most mediocre prayer meetings I've been to in a while turned into one of the most powerful prayers. It happened after most people had left. Isn't that the way it often works? It's hard to explain what transpired in the last hour of prayer. I feel like we've been in a spiritual struggle as of late, and last night it was almost as though I could sense the choke hold that has been tightening in an effort to squeeze the life/hope/faith out of my generation of believers. About that time, I began to sense something else stirring among the ten of us present. It was the will to live. With the strength and consciousness that we had, we "fought the good fight" and "laid hold on eternal life" (1 Tim 6:12). We are still alive and we are not backing down. We shall live, and not die!

This week's study group will venture in the same vein as last week: Prayer.
Last week's discussion was powerfully insightful due to people's desire to dive into the depths of the Word and share their own findings into the said topic. The focus will not change from last week as Mark explained. We have fun of course, but its Bible focused as those that attended last week will agree and I am expecting God to definately meet with us once again

this coming Tuesday Let's all meet for 'theRoost' at Second Cup in Kensington by 7:30 p.m.

'theRoost' bio: It's like this: everything's gotta have a name, it's a pinnacle that serves us with a form of attachment to it, and in studying and researching for a name I found a saying in an old quotes book I have from the early 1900's, it says: "The duties of home are discipline for the ministry of heaven - anon." COOL
I loved it. theRoost gives the feel of being perched with an Eagle like readiness in preparation to overcome in any adversity...which is a requirement of us as Christians as students in the Word of God. It has a place of comfort and rest attached to it. It is the term deemed for the home of an Eagle, which is one of the most majestic and intriguing birds; one that God Himself often alikens Himself to. "As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: So the LORD alone did lead Him." so let's come and "As for [us] and [our roost] we will serve the LORD."

The Formation of a Study Group

PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO COME.

Beginning next week, there will be a study group meeting on Tuesday evenings at various Starbucks. Please note that this is not a group study; it is a study group. It will not be comprised of weekly lessons from a teacher, rather it will be comprised of young people who want to dig deeper into the Word alongside others. It will be a forum where those involved will share, discuss, and compile their findings on Bible truths. Jason will be the driving force to keep the meetings focused and productive. He will be doing extensive research into the topics of discussion to ensure that there is adequate resolution.

So... If you would like to be a part of this study group, then be at the the Memorial Starbucks at 7pm on Tuesday evening.

This Saturday...Bowness Boats!!!

Jesus said, "Launch out into the deep..." So, will meet at Bowness Park at 11am sharp on Saturday. You will need at least $10 for the boat rental, I would bring $20 to be safe.

Join us as we minister at Pastor Millington's church in Athathabasca. It's going to be a great time! One of the services is going to be an open-air service like we did in Browning. We need you to come help us stir up the town. So, get with some friends and make the trek! (There will also be a service on the Sunday, but Pastor will want you back in TC on Sunday.)

This is a map of Browning, Montana. To all and everyone:
Please take a copy of this map and begin to pray over it, even if you perhaps are not going on the excursion for the revival. Just print it out and pray over it that God would have His way, and that His work would be completed: The souls, the direction, the purpose! The work that He has begun to do in the many hungry hearts of this quaint little reserve excites me as we return for what is going to be a powerful move of God! We are being called into His work, please remember them in your prayers!

This Saturday... Sulphur Mountain Hike!

We will connect on Saturday, not Friday. Transportation is not provided. We will be meeting at the bottom of Sulfur Mountain (the Banff Gondola) at 11am.
I think it will cost around $20 to ride the gondola back down.

This Friday... C-peeps!

We are going to slip out of the city for this one... it will be at the Grant's house @ 7:30pm!
There will be snacks and games and just an all-around good time!
Parents are welcome to stick around for this one being that it is a farther drive than usual.

Directions from Calgary:
-Go north on Simons Valley Road for 32 km.
-It has a few bends in it, but stay on it until...
-You see a line of signs warning you of a sharp left turn and and telling you to slow to 30km.
-At that point, SVRoad takes a 90degree left turn...
-DO NOT TURN WITH IT!! Go straight onto the gravel road (Range Road 23), continue 1km.
-RR23 turns right and becomes Twp Rd 283A.
-It iw the first house on the left after the turn...the house is white.
