This Friday... Another All-Nighter
I really feel like we need to continue our all-night prayer meetings in preperation for our Harvest Weekends. So, if you can join us this Friday at 10pm to seek God, then please do so. God is hearing us! Great things are happening! We cannot finish in the flesh what has begun in the Spirit. It's time to build up our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost!

Who's in for a ski trip?
I just got a quote from Sunshine Village ski resort on a group rate, and here it is...If we have 20 people, we could get two days skiing and one night accomodation on the hill for $150 each. The dates would be April 13-14 (Friday-Saturday). I need to know who would be in...as soon as I get 20 names I'll book it. Leave a comment, call me or e-mail me ASAP if you are interested.

Well... This tie lived its life decades ago. Then it died from a lack of affection and spent a really long time as a non-tie... Till a master's eye spotted its potential and gave it new life. This is my favorite tie right now and I bought it from the Goodwill for $2!If that makes you happy, then you may want to join a few(bunch?) of us that will be meeting for breakfast on Saturday Morning then hitting up as many thrift stores as possible. BOISE, Idaho – Is it possible that the best college football coach in America, the one who Saturday at Georgia goes for his 45th win in his last 50 games, rides his mountain bike to work?
"It's a five-minute ride from my house," said Dan Hawkins, whose bike was, indeed, parked right here inside his Boise State office a couple of weeks ago. "It takes longer to drive."
Is it possible that the best college football coach in America, the one who doesn't just recruit better players, but actually makes recruits better, the one with three former walk-ons in the NFL, doesn't believe in screaming at his players?
"I think if you have that sort of environment, kids are afraid to fail, they are afraid to make a mistake, they play not to lose," said Hawkins, coach of the wildest, woolliest, fake-puntingest offense in the country. "We don't want our guys to play that way."
Is it possible that the best college football coach in America, the one who has transformed a program that a decade ago was I-AA into a top-20 Division I-A program, is more likely to quote philosophers than Rockne?
"I go back to my man Maslow," said Hawkins of psychologist Abraham Maslow, by way of explaining his remarkable ability of taking unheralded recruits to an 11-0 regular season.
"It is believing that every guy is capable of doing something. Now, I've got to figure out how to get him in the right spot and provide an environment that we trust in him and let him grow."
... In an era of screaming task masters, Hawkins prefers to forge respectful relationships with his players.
"I am not saying we can't coach our guys hard, because we do at times," Hawkins said. "But [we don't] just dog-cuss them or beat them down.
"I just totally believe in certain things that maximize a person's performance level. I think it is real easy to get frustrated and to scream and yell and take it out on guys, but 99 percent of the time they are not trying to make a mistake.
"Sometimes you try something new and funky and it doesn't work. But if you are chastised and degraded when it doesn't work, pretty soon you just play it safe and say, I am going to just try not to lose.' "
Boise plays to win – every down of every game. "We expect perfection," Hawkins said. But, he said, his players' self-confidence produces "a freedom from the psychological chains and you say, Hey, let's go.'"
The result is a most thrilling style – wild plays, fourth-down gambles, fake kicks, all-out blitzes and just about anything else Hawkins, his staff or even his players can dream up.
It isn't just a gimmick offense. It isn't just a way to overcome better talent. It is a way of approaching life; it is all part of what the former science teacher is trying to teach.
"In order to be successful you have to take risks," Hawkins said. "That is part of life. You have to be to get out of your comfort zone, pack up your family for a new job. [But] I think so many times we are just so afraid to fail in life.

off to a great start!
Friday night we had an all-night prayer meeting that...what can I say...blew our boundaries into orbit! On Sunday, God prepared us for the Harvest. And now we are counting down to our first HARVEST WEEK-END ... this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with Pastor Tim Merritt!!! Remember that we are the soldiers doing the ground work... the streets of Calgary don't belong to the drug-pushers, they belong to the God-pushers!!!!

church sweet church
Well, we finished Paris, hit Milan, slipped into Switzerland and had such a great time... but we missed church! I can't tell you how good it felt to worship in Truth Church again on Sunday... so good that I led for an hour without realizing it! ;) Now I'm back to what life is all about.

We did London... now we're doing Paris. In London we saw the Tower of London and Westminster and shopped at Harrods and Paul Smith and we didn't moon the queen! So far in Paris we've ate lots of crepes! Love you!

Happy '07!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sitting with Luke and Brad in Starbucks on London's Kensington High Street recovering from the crazyest New Years Eve ever. We made our way into the center of London last night amidst who knows how many poeple (around a million). We pushed our way onto a bridge that was so compressed with hooligans that we couldn't have moved if we wanted to... and some times were moved weather we wanted to be or not...seriously, a small kid would have been crushed by it. Finally some bobbys let a few of us escape the crowd via some stairs that led us down to limited access area on the river front. The fire works were just crazy... the best I've ever seen!!! I had an awesome view from part way up a light post. Anyways... I hope all of you have an amazing New Years as well!!! Love and miss ya!

Europe... here they come!!
Saturday at 5:54pm the boys left for Europe.... it was a well deserved trip for all of them!
If you didn't get to say goodbye to them before they left...... then quickly say it to the screen before anyone walks in!! Your not weird, promise.....!! ; ) After all we are gonna miss them.............
