Youth Service

Just a reminder that the youth service is this Friday, come at 7.30 if you have guests otherwise 7 for prayer. It's going to rock people :)

In My Defense

In my defense it was a brisk friday morning and my head was screwed on a little left kilter. To my amazement I found myself plummeting into sleep insomnia last night around 11, and waking up this morning shooken by the Hand of God for the annual morning FIRE FILLED truthYouth prayer, as it has become our new day-praise staple at 6:30...A.M. I learnt quickly how sleep deprivation can so easily fester a desolation on my brain. So what is this post all about? Early friday morning I found myself entering into the sanctuary with my regular sung and carried "OOOOoohhh" and when I regularly follow up the praise with "God Great God" or a simple "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" I found myself almost stutter-out, follow up, actually SAY however still JUST stop short of...well...I turned to the youth who were standing at the doorway to ask them a simple question, "Do you think God would be offended if I called Him sugarpants?" It was laughter at me, rather than with me, believe me. Don't ask me how, or why, or when the synapse in my brain mis-fired in such a way as to call my Lord and Savior "Sugarpants" but I DID stop myself JUST short... so let this be a lesson to all...though God is soooo sweet, He doesn't wear sugarpants.

I need feedback!!!

If we get a really nice location downtown in the art district, would you guys be willing to pay $30 for the night. Palace of Eats just called me today and said they won't be able to accommodate us for the time we want, so its this location or Good Earth. Please tell me what you think people...

Youth Service

The youth service is going to be Friday the 29th @ 7 PM. Bro. David Holmes is the speaker and I'm looking forward to hearing him tear it up. Lets use this as an opportunity to bring as many guest as possible.

The party is going to be Saturday the 16th, and it will probably be at Palace of Eats. I'll post again when the location, time and price are confirmed.

February Events

There's going to be a Valentines party on or around the 14th at a location where we can book a private event. However the best part is going to be at then end of the month, the first youth service of 2008! Hopefully this will be on Friday the 22nd. More details will be coming soon when everything is finalized.

REVISION

We had originaly announced that Jordan was going to be the February man, but he has now moved to June and DJ will be enchanting February.

He has shared some of his ideas and I'm looking forward to it and know y'all will love it!!!

You are all at church and I'm laying in bed... but that's just because I'm in Tulsa and I haven't figured out how to be here and there. I hate not being in service at Truth! I am excited about what's going to be going on over the next couple of days here in Tulsa though. There will be a lot of discussion as to how we can most effectively advance the Kingdom of God. Please be praying for the same, especially during the Friday night prayer meeting!

This Saturday we will be meeting at the church at 12 noon to do outreach among Calgary's Spanish community, we will then be joining them for a special bi-lingual evangelistic service at 7pm. Let's make a difference in our world this Saturday!
