Gospel Christmas Concert.......
It was so fun and awesome! We started with a countdown and then marched in to a drum and base groove. Our songs evolved from traditional to pentecostal-gospel-worship. Lisa, Star and Sara tore up their solo parts and the choir and band rocked. Trailblazers (signing group) wrapped up the concert with Kirk Franklin's Behold the Lamb as the crowd erupted in worship. Here's a few pics.....

Barbados!!
I am so happy that I was able to go to Barbados. I believe that it changed me in a lot of ways and I learned so much.
A big thing for me was coming out of my shell. I am a very shy person and it usually takes me a very long time to warm up to people, but when I got there that seemed to just disappear! I was able to do things that I sometimes could not do here. Like going up to people and talking to them about God, which normally I would have a problem doing. So being able to break through that and being confident in doing it is amazing.
Also I became more thankful. Not saying that I wasn't before, but being somewhere that doesn't have as much as we do and seeing them happy with what they had, made me thankful for what I have at home. I am really thankful for my friends, my family and my wonderful church that has helped me become a great person and has cared so much for me. I'm also really, really thankful that there isn't a chefette in Calgary!!!
One of the biggest things that going to Barbados helped me with is letting go of my pride. On the last night we were there, it was Sunday night service and in the middle of worship the lights went out. I was scared at first but when I heard the people in the church still singing I did the same and lost myself in God. I didn't care about what anyone thought. I didn't care who could see me, because no one could see me, but I gave all of myself to God and can honestly say I have never felt Him as strong as I did that night. I couldn't believe it, I was missing out on so much because of my pride because I cared about what other people thought. Something like that will never again get in the way of me and God.
So thank you to everyone who made this trip possible it means so much to me.

My Enlightenment form Barbados: Expressions of God
On Sunday Night I spoke of one of the most impacting aspects of the trip for me ... coming face to face with God in the sky, the sea, and the underwater world. I saw these as expressions of the Master Artist, who also created me as an expression of himself, and I stood on the beach alone with God and wept. I'm not even gonna try to explain it on here. If you wanna know bad enough... then get the tape. ;P
The part of the message that I didn't preach was about Jesus Christ being the ultimate expression of God. All of God's creations are expressions of Him, but in John 1 Jesus is called "The Expression" or "The Word". And it's only in Jesus that I can be that perfect expression of God... that image(finished product) that was in his heart when He created me.
