Urgent Prayer Request

For those of you who don't know Elaine and Jamie, they are two girls from Pakistan who are starving for the truth and love what they have seen from Truth Youth. Currently they are in Pakistan for Christmas and are planning on returning to Canada on the January fifteenth. If you guys follow the news you will probably have heard the Pakistan's former prime minister was assassinated last week by Al qaeda,Pakistan is in a state of civil unrest, and has been labeled the most dangerous place on earth. In the city that the girls are staying in (Karachi), the Pakistani army has been ordered to shoot all rioters on sight. Also elections are scheduled for next week and promise nothing but increased violence for the near future.
I am staying in contact with Elaine via e-mail, and she tells me that they cannot leave their house because of the violence but they are safe. Please pray for their safety, safe return, and ,in the event that anything unfortunate should happen, that it will be to the glory of God.

Necessity Calls

Our last all night prayer was amazing. Barriers were obliterated and freedom restored, but I think some of our tanks are starting to run low on the deep fuel and a refill is needed.

The devil was royally thrown back in his place, and he's really fighting for his former position in some of our lives. I think he needs to be reminded of his proper position.

This just in...

The long awaited dates of the Youth Camp in Manila, Philippines are April 14-18, 2008. I have been asked to bring a group of young people (over 16). So, please let me know soon if you are interested. Flights are around $1200. I'll look into the possibility of missions in addition to the camp... the trip would be somewhere between 1-2 weeks.

This Friday, come and meet at the church BY 6:45 PLEASE BE ON TIME...I will be at the church around 5:00-5:30 so the doors WILL be open. The schedule is as follows:

We will probably leave the church around quarter after seven. We will head for Kensington and surrounding area for track dispersing (for Harvest Weekend). We will most likely (knowing truth youth that is) stop for coffee around 8:30-9...head back and meet at the church around 9:30 p.m. (none of the times are specific but guesstimates) When back at the church, there will be ministry, youth games, and ice cream. It will be a lock-down so expect no earlier then 2 a.m. to be outta there. BRING CHANGE OF CLOTHES FOR GAMES. these clothes should be grubby wear. One's you do NOT mind getting dirty possibly stained. again CLOTHES YOU DO NOT MIND GETTING GRUBBY/DIRTY/STAINED to change into for the YOUTH GAMES portion of the evening. that is AFTER Kensington avenue track dispersing. Come expecting the best from God, praying for results.
The focus for friday is the OUTREACH, LETS REACH YOUTH REAAAACH...lets share the burden God has given Mark, come prayed up and EXPECTING results. Come with your lights ablazing! Lets do it for love, carrying the cross...I Love you Truth youth May God Bless you and your outreach RICHLY!

This one time limited chance timeless classic of soon to be fiasco is about to take place make sure you dont miss it! balloon animals (not really) streamers (if you want to bring them) and clowns and elephants (minus clowns and elephants)...so...THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE DE LEEUW RESIDENCE (340 34 Avenue) there will be the get together of a lifetime for them of the youth group! There will be snacks and drinks provided...and bring about 5-10 bucks for pizza or donairs (the decision is a toss up for the wants and good of the majority)...bring you, a board game, cards, anything and everything, lets kick back relax chillax and play smacks board games and any other entertainment anyone wants to conjure up all is up for grabs...but the doors open at 7!

PHILIPPINES IN MAY!

I don't have specifics right now, but it looks like we will have a missions opportunity in May of 2008. I have been asked to preach a Youth Camp in Cebu, and they want as many of you to go as possible. We will try to work it out to help some local churches on the weekend before or after. We're probably looking at a 10 day trip. Flights as of now are around $1200, so start saving. Everything will be very cheap once we are over there. The age limit will be 16. YOU COMING?????

Capture the Flag/BBQ

Here's the plan for Saturday...

Meet at the church at 2PM and then we'll head out to Big Hill Springs Park.
Wear clothes for Capture the Flag w/water bombs.
Bring your own food...grill and drinks will be provided.

Note: The Spanish Harvest service is the most important thing going on this Saturday. All Spanish speaking youth should attend the Harvest service.

We've got a Spanish/English Harvest Weekend this weekend with Paul Baumeister.
We've got Camp Meeting in Red Deer on Aug 6-10.
And we've got another week with Franco Platania after Camp.

Let's go do some outreach in Red Deer on Sat, Aug 4th, and see who we can get to the Camp.

Remember intense Youth Prayer EVERY tuesday night at 9 (notice new summer hours).

And, I don't know about you, but I'm feeling another BBQ this Saturday... let's see if it'll work.
